Professional Roof Installation

Installing the roof is one of the most critical aspects of building a home. Most homeowners want a roof that looks attractive, requires little maintenance, and is long lasting.

Roofs that are not installed professionally may provide inadequate insulation for the home and poor protection from the elements. Without adequate maintenance, a roof may require frequent repairs and have a much shorter lifespan than is recommended.

Professional installation of the right style of roof using suitable materials can save the homeowner a substantial amount in repair and maintenance costs, create a lower environmental impact, and place less of a demand on energy and natural resources.

When selecting a new roof, you will want to keep the following factors in mind:

  1. Use quality asphalt shingles
  2. Having the proper felt paper, starter shingles, drip edge, flashing and caulk, and a ridge cap is a must on all jobs. (Except some flat roof systems).
  3. Never allow a roofing contractor to put new shingles over your old shingles. Leaving old shingles on prevents proper ventilation and could create a weight problem that causes the roof to sag. It can also create greater problems if rotten or warped wood under the original shingles if not discovered and properly fixed.
  4. Do not be shy about asking questions to your roofing contractor.
  5. Make sure the materials you bought are actually being installed on your roof.
  6. Know before the job starts what the roofing contractor is planning to do with all debris from the job.
